KONTAXIA

Contrary to the Axis

About the Game

KONTAXIA is a single-player, stealth-action, spiritually-driven video game set in our present time. Rooted in Orthodox Christian tradition, it follows a group of teenagers from the Romanian village of AXRED as they grow, struggle, and train to resist the passions of the fallen world.

The name "KONTAXIA" comes from "contrary" (with a K) and "axis"—symbolizing resistance against the axis of the world and its passions. It reflects a journey against the spiritual decay that defines modern life.

Note: the game is still in development.

The AXIS

The AXIS represents the three-dimensional(XYZ) world we live in, the world of form and direction—the space through which passions travel. To become contrary to the AXIS is to go against the expected flow of the world and embrace spiritual struggle.

Core Themes

One and Only Enemy

The game is focused on the eight deadly passions:

Each passion is encountered symbolically in the world and its defeat brings the player closer to clarity.

AXRED

The village of AXRED is the heart of the game—a place of tradition, stillness, and depth. As the player progresses and grows spiritually, the village transforms, reflecting their inner state through visuals, music, and interactions with its people.

Philosophy

KONTAXIA isn’t just a game—it’s an inner journey. It challenges players to confront not just external enemies, but the passions within. It is an invitation to stillness, repentance, and ultimately, to become contrary to the world—and united with God.
